They say there is no love like the one a mother has for her child. Whether that is true or not to have ones child pried from their arms is terrifying, cruel and absolutely despicable. Recently a young mother and loving father had their six month old son taken from them. A white male and Latino female took away their child named Delano, they held his father at gunpoint and took this helpless child from him. The police have not yet found any leads to help them find this infant. His mother, Taniasha Perkins, wants nothing more than to have her child in her arms again. Taniasha says, "He's just one month old. I love my child. I just gave birth to him. He is my one and only son, my first born."(1)  Police say that Delano is in great danger and can be harmed by these kidnapers.
This article may not be world news but tragedies like this take place all around the world. No mother or father should feel the pain of losing their child or having them taken away from them. Taniasha and her boyfriend Willie Wilson, say they have both found jobs to provide for their one and only son. They say he is all they have he is their motivation. The two unidentified kidnappers are tearing this family apart; they have taken away the hope and glue of this family. Women Kill Too

“British Woman Vows To Become First Female Jihadist To Kill American Or British Captive”
Source: The Huffington Post
The Islamic extremist groups are beginning to become more and more dangerous. Recently a journalist by the name of James Foley was beheaded by an extremist group. Now there is a woman called Khadijah Dare who wants to copy this execution and become the first female Jihadist to kill an American or British captive. This woman was born in London, England and married to Abu Bark, who is an Islamic State fighter. The two and their son, now live in Syria in the same community as other extremist. She posted on twitter, “Any links 4 da execution of da journalist plz. Allahu Akbar. UK must b shaking up ha ha. I wna b da 1st UK woman 2 kill a UK or US terorrist!(sic)”. (page 1) Dare converted to Islam when she was a teenager and was known to be a regular at the Lewisham Islamic Center in London. This is the same mosque that Woolwick murderers Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were seen attending before arrested. The mosque is trying to make it clear to people around the world that they are not the ones encouraging these Muslim extremist to commit these terrorist acts. The people of the center do not want to be held accountable for the poor decisions these men and women make.
Reading this article will not only inform the people that the extremist militant groups are getting bigger in number, they are becoming more dangerous and terrible. In addition to that knowledge the Muslim church leaders should not be held accountable for all the crimes these disturbed people commit. Yes, it is possible some are encouraging these terrorist acts, however people should grasp the idea that grouping a people is not acceptable and each individual should be held responsible for their actions.

ARMY STONG

Ethos, pathos, and logos are used in almost every add, they are used to connect to the viewers and its audience. These three are seen everyday all around, people do not realize they are being affected by them, because the makers of these adds know how to manipulate people’s feelings, emotions and thoughts. In this add all three are being used. The makers of this add have established ethos by placing the U.S army symbol on the right corner of the add. Using ethos they have grabbed the audience’s attention and reassured the viewers of their credibility. This add connects to its audience mostly by pathos. The picture they have used makes people feel happy, safe, and helps them realize how much these men and women sacrifice for their families and country. They have also used quotes to emphasize the importance of people in the army and to make people think joining the army will help instill a sense of pride in themselves. Logos is also being used. They have added a website name so that its viewers have the opportunity to learn more, and backup the information they have been given. They have added the fact that joining the army can help with college to grab the attention of those who are willing to do anything to receive an education.
Seeing that this add is directed towards young adults and parents of the younger generation, this add is effective. It connects to its audience emotionally; it provides information and creates incentive for people to join the army. There is no strong like army strong.

That was Then, This is Now

I cannot say I am one of those people who can read for hours on end and frankly that does not bother me, but That was Then, This is Now is one of those books that grabs you and does not let go until you have read every last page. That was Then, This is Now is a short book which was appealing to me, but in those 159 pages the author managed to give life to the characters and make you feel every emotion each of them felt. While reading this book I felt obligated to cry, laugh, smile and love with the characters, there are only a few books that have made me feel this way. That was Then, This is Now was not written intending to teach people a lesson, or to tell us that drugs and lying is wrong, it was written so we could relate to the characters and their problems and to make us feel like it is okay to make mistakes and it is okay for there to be change. This book is about growing and finding yourself. I loved reading this book because the author was not trying to change you with what she wrote; she wrote it because she had a simple story to share. Most books that I have had to read was like any other it started with a single character, then they faced a problem and finally they fixed the problem. S.E. Hintos’s book was not like that. The book starts with two young boys who have been friends for as long as they could remember, but they were not faced with a single problem, they were facing life and all of its realities. However, she did not end the book with a happy ending she ended it with a realistic one, one that made you think after you put down the book. This book is my favorite because to me it was not just a book it was someone giving me their outlook on what growing up is really about.
